The Smoke Ring gets bigger

The Smoke Ring, a cigar shop to Astronauts and NASA geeks, gets bigger.

I hope everyone enjoyed the holidays. Around this time, buzz gets quiet — too quiet. But it’s starting to pick up again and just from general conversations with sources, it sounds like development and business is going to be as strong across the county and Clear Lake area as it was last year.

Here’s a sample of Biz Buzz for tomorrow.

Cigar shop owner Larry Buhman has moved and reopened The Smoke Ring, 17050 state Highway 3 in the Clear Lake area.

The Smoke Ring is in the same shopping center but larger space, offering lockers for patrons to stash their smokes and a roomy area to sit and enjoy cigars.

The Smoke Ring is popular among astronauts and NASA engineers, among others. Are you a cigar smoker? Where do you smoke?

Cigar smoker and have burned a few stogies at The Smoke Ring (glad to see they've made this much needed expansion!). Also occasionally toke at Manny's in Tex City. But a regular at Havana Alley on 21st St in Galveston.

I think my uncle, Smokey Smolder McVapor, frequents this place. I think I sighted him driving toward there in his pick-up, with the mudflap girl silhouettes. I'll ask him.
