Thursday night's Battle for South Shore between the Clear Falls Knights and the Clear Creek Wildcats started out well but got out of hand in the second quarter. Creek quarterback Jarrett Hildreth threw for 356 yards and four touchdowns giving me lots of opportunities to capture some high flying receivers.

But as often happens, my best action shot from the game was one of the few plays where things went differently.

Creek's Landon Etzel made several catches throughout the game finishing with 137 yards and 1 touchdown according to statistician Christopher Walters. But on this play late in the second quarter, Falls' Ethan Crocker got just enough of the ball to break up the pass attempt.

However the Wildcats kept the pressure on the Knights in the second half leading to a 45-21 blowout meaning this photo didn't have a chance to make it in print.
