As a kid, one of the most exciting parts of the day for me was when the mailman came. It didn't matter that nobody ever sent me a letter, I just enjoyed running to the mailbox and seeing what was inside.

I'm no different today. I love getting mail. That moment of tearing open the envelope to see what's inside is sheer bliss. Sadly, I don't get enough mail, especially here at the office.

That's where you can help. I'd like to hear from you. Do you like what we're doing here in the sports section? Do you hate it? I really want to know. Are there teams or sports that you'd like us to cover more frequently? Or see less of?

I'm kind of hoping there is an outcry for more cycling news. The Grand Tours are coming up and could do with a trip to Europe.

The letters won't be just for my personal enjoyment. I'd like to start a "Letters to the Sports Editor" section that will run in the Sunday editions. Not only will I get to know your opinions, but your friends and neighbors will, too.

So, if you have something you want to get off your choice, drop us a line at:

Or, you can send us an email at sports@galvnews.com.

However you send it, please give us your full name, address and telephone number so we can verify the identity of the author. I'm going to head to the mailbox now. I hope I don't have to wait too long.
