As the planning commissioners continue their marathon review of the city’s new proposed Land Development Regulations, they will also hear verbal public comments about the document for the first time.
Members of the public with something to say will be allowed three minutes each to state their case at the end of Tuesday’s planning commission regular meeting. At their workshop last week, the commissioners decided not to limit which parts of the LDR they would accept comments about.
The commission has so far held two of six planned workshops to discuss the regulations. Commissioners have already fallen behind their original schedule.
Of the five topics they were slated to have finished by this week, commissioners have finished two: about use tables and parking regulations. They still must complete discussion about landscaping, purposes and definitions. Tuesday’s meeting was originally scheduled to include discussion about signs and lighting, but those topics are not present on this week’s agenda.
Last week, the commissioners extended their workshop by 30 minutes to attempt to make up some time.
The commission’s workshop begins at noon Tuesday.
The regular meeting, where public comments will be heard, begins at 3:30 p.m.
