Update: The lost dogs are back with their owner, according to pro golfer Bo Van Pelt. We'll have more details once they are available.

Wednesday: I’ve been trying to report this story all day, but am not having a lot of luck. I’m hoping a little community engagement might help.

Early Wednesday morning, pro golfer Bo Van Pelt sent out a tweet that he had found a dog named Chloe, in the Tulsa, Okla. area. Chloe, and an unnamed German Shepard companion, apparently had tags identifying them as being from the “Galveston area.”

Chloe looks like an Irish Setter. From the picture Van Pelt sent out, she looks dirty but otherwise healthy.

I’ve reached out to Van Pelt to see if I could get more information. He’s only said in a direct message on Twitter that he tried to call the veterinarian on the tag, but the number associated with the dogs’ owner was disconnected.

So, on the off chance that a dog you know from Galveston County ended up in a city 540 miles away, take a look at the picture, and let me know on Twitter @johnwferguson.
