Q: Why should voters choose you?

A: My service on council can be coined as tried, proven and honest leadership. As a chaplain for the Dickinson Gator football team, I encourage the players to work hard and leave it on the field to me they aren’t just word it’s my way of LIFE! I’ve learned to apply that in the Marines, as a husband, father, Pastor, Councilman and community servant.

Q: What are your specific qualifications for the position?

A: I have served faithfully for 10 years as the Position 6 Councilman. I’ve been true to developing myself academically through the Texas Municipal League Institute and TML Region 14. I represent the city of Dickinson on the HGAC, Fair Housing Committee, Chief Chaplain with Dickinson Police,President of Dickinson Ministerial Alliances, served the citizen during the Thankingiving Dinner at VFW, past Board Member of Dickinson Rotary, American Heart Foundation, Gator football team Chaplain, Military service in the USMC, and completed a tour as a Combat Veteran of Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield.

Q: What are the issues in this campaign?

A: To keep Dickinson moving forward in the 21st Century without compromise/specials treatments

Q: What is your platform on those issues?

A: To serve wish integrity for the enhancement of our citizen quality of life!

Q: How would you rate the management of the city administrator?

A: Outstanding!

Q: How would you rate the city's work on infrastructure improvements: Poor, fair, about right or excellent? And why?

A: We are moving in the right direction with the support and endorsement of our citizens, great planning is paying off now through the street maintenance sale tax. It was voted on and passed in 2011. And that was excellent “Way to go Dickinson!”

Q: What should Dickinson be doing to attract more business to the city?

A: We are taking care of business for our citizen and as a result we are seeing business relocate to Dickinson. We must continue to approach each opportunity with an open mind, and represent the valves and virtues that represent our citizen’s best interest in Dickinson.

Q: What should the city's economic development priorities be?

A: The EDC is doing a great job creating an atmosphere for existing business to grow and new business to open in Dickinson.

Q: County officials are considering asking the Festival of Lights to move to another park? Do you support that move? Why or why not and what would you do to address the request?

A: NO, It’s currently in the heart of Dickinson, where it best serves the City, County, and all who visit the FOL. I would participate in a dialogue to resolve the issues for the continued display of FOL in its current location.

Q: Should the city consider a charter election to change its form of government to a council-manager system? Why or why not?

A: No, the City of Dickinson is functioning fine with it’s current form of government.

Q: What area of city spending would you want to see reduced and why?

What area of city spending would you support increasing and why?

A: It is the responsibility of council to review all areas of the City budget to determine how taxpayers’ dollars are to be used in city operations.
