Q: Will you have your home phone number listed in the phone book or your mobile number listed for the public to contact you directly?

Yes___X___ No_______

Q: Why should voters choose you?

A: I feel that I have done a good job over the past seven years serving on city council of our great little City of Santa Fe. During my time as an elected official to the citizens of Santa Fe I have done my best to keep our taxes as low as possible and maintain a tight budget. I would greatly appreciate your support and vote on May 11 for city council position 4.

Q: What are your specific qualifications for the position?

A: I have served on city council for the past 7 years and prior to that I served on the planning and zoning commission.

Q: What are the issues in this campaign?

A: The number one public issue right now is the bond issue for a new justice center for the city. This has been an issue for several years and the council has listened to the voters and have tried to re-prioritize and cut the costs associated with the project.

Q: What is your platform on those issues?

A: My platform on this issue is one that supports the needs of our city government while at the same time keeping a sharp eye on the taxpayer dollars and keep costs under control.

Q: Do you support the proposed police station bond issue? Why or why not?

A: Yes, I support the bond. Santa Fe is one of the fastest growing communities in the county and our needs have increased far beyond what our current facilities can accommodate.

Q: If you support the bond referendum, what assurances can you offer the money will be spend the way it's intended?

A: The city is bound by the bond and by law. No additional monies will be collected and revenue will only be generated for the purposes of the justice center.

If you do not support it, what is your specific plan to address the needs of the police station and courts?

A: I support the bond referendum.

Q: How would you rate the performance of the Santa Fe Police Department?

A: I have no complaints about the performance of our police department. The men and women and their leadership have always served our community and its citizens.

Q: How would you rate the leadership of the city manager?

A: There is a very good reason that Joe Dickson is our long-serving city manager. Joe does an exceptional job and has a great eye for the current and future needs of our city.

Q: What is your opinion of the city's annexation process and plans for future annexation?

A: I do not feel that annexation is a priority for the city at this time.

Q: What area of city spending would you want to see reduced and why? What area of city spending would you support increasing and why?

A: I feel that all areas of goverment spending should be continuously monitored for ways to cut spending. The city's priorities change yearly and we have to be able to evolve and adapt. Currently, I feel that one area that the city needs to increase attention to is our street department as there are several areas that need improvement.
