The threat of “Government Shutdown” is nothing new. This practice should be eliminated once and for all. It is simply a way for one political party to nail the other party to the wall until they get their way. How childish can politics get?
Republicans – “Let’s get the budget bill signed. That’s our job. We will address other issues like immigration later.”
Democrats (and Republicans that hate Trump) “Wah Wah, Booo Hooo, we aren’t going to do our job and let the government shut down until we get our way. Boo Woo, Sniff, Sniff”.
Guess what. Congress gets their paychecks even if other employees don’t.
President Trump should sign an executive order that states that if a government shut down occurs, paychecks for all congressmen and congresswomen with be canceled for six months and not ever issued. PERIOD.
Think how many more votes Trump could get it he made that promise in his second term campaign.

What we have here is a total lack of leadership; spending ineffective time finger-pointing and directing the perceived failures due to others actions or inactions. Perhaps it follows the quote - Source: Cool Hand Luke, Speaker: Captain:
"What we've got here…is failure to communicate."
