Q: Why should voters choose you?

A:  As an incumbent that has served LMISD for over 17 years, I care about this district.  My focus is and has always been what is best for our students with academics being first.  I believe that all students can learn if they are met at their level and given the encouragement and tools they need to excel.

Q: What are your specific qualifications for the position?

A:  My main qualification is that I care about the students of LMISD and their need to be successful.  My background is in program analysis and economics. These two areas afford me the ability to analyze data, forecast trends and measure operational efficiencies.

Q: What are the issues in this campaign?

A: Rebuilding and Restoring our instructional programs, stabilizing our finance and encouraging and rewarding student and employee’s performance.

Q: What is your platform on those issues?

A:  Strong academic programs tailored to the needs of our student population, sound fiscal management and accountability.

Q: Who has been most to blame for LMISD’s financial woes, the school board or the administration?

A:   Placing blame at this point is not beneficial.  Educating our students will take a community effort.  What needs to happen from this point is team work, a TEAM effort between all the stakeholders in this district; teachers, administrators, parents, business and school board to create a strong learning environment for our students.

Q: If elected what will you do to promote more transparency by the school board?
