Kristy DeShawn Allen and Shasta Bernard Moore, Jr. were united in marriage at 3 p.m. on December 7, 2013 at Greater Barbour’s Chapel Church in Texas City.

A reception was held at the Chuck Doyle Convention Center in Texas City.

The bride is the daughter of Ms. Lucille Allen and the late John Charles Allen, Jr. (J.C.) of Texas City. Kristy is the granddaughter of the late James and Myrtle Henderson, and the late John and Lucille Twine-Allen.

The groom is the son of Dellanise and Robert Neblett of Fresno, Texas and Shasta Moore, Sr. of Houston. He is the grandson of Margaret Brigham and the late Dewey Brigham, Ezekiel and Betty Moore, and the late Willie and Lillian Price.

The bride was given away by her mother and Godfather, Mack O. Gordon.

Tomeka Brown served as maid of honor and LaWanda Terrell served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandi Adams- Peterson, Demecia Davis, Monica James, Delecé Jones, Camille Khan, LaKisha King, Tori Lamb, and D’Andrea McDaniel.

Major Harper and Cory Neblett served as best men. Groomsmen were Christian Chenier, Eddie Fowler, Jeff Griffin, Michael Griffin, Aaron Neblett, Cedric Neblett, Keith Seafous, and Marcus Winters.

The bride is a graduate of La Marque High School, and Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas where she is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Kristy is a Pharmacy Sales Specialist with Fresenius Medical Care.

The groom is a graduate of Evan E. Worthing High School in Houston, and Prairie View A&M University where he is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Shasta is Owner of Hot Haul U.S.A. (Freight Expeditors).

Kristy and Shasta spent their honeymoon in Montego Bay, Jamaica and are residing in Houston.
