Dr. and Mrs. Marshall Ewald of Katy, Texas are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Kay Ewald to Kyle David Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson, Jr. of Friendswood, Texas.

Kyle is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Kelly, all of Friendswood, Texas.

Lauren is a 2007 graduate of Cinco Ranch High School where she lettered in Varsity Tennis. She is a 2011 honor graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She also received her teaching certificate from Texas A&M. Lauren currently teaches High School Biology and IPC (Physics and Chemistry) at Stratford High School in Houston, Texas.

Kyle is a 2007 graduate of Friendswood High School where he participated in Drama and High School Musicals. He is an Eagle Scout and a 2011 honor graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Mays Business School with a major in Supply Chain Management and a minor in Entomology. He also earned his International Business Certificate and a Business Professionalism Certificate. Kyle is currently a Senior Software Consultant at Quorum Business Solutions in Houston, Texas.

A June wedding is planned in Houston. After a honeymoon in Costa Rica the couple will reside in Houston, Texas.

Expanded and full announcements are available to all couples. This option is ideal for couples who wish to include photographs and more detailed information, such as bridesmaids, groomsmen, bridal dress descriptions and descriptions of decorations.

Announcements are published each week in The Daily News Sunday Lifestyle section and within our Web Edition. The deadline is 10 a.m. Monday, six days prior to the Sunday on which you'd like your announcement published.
