As a licensed massage therapist and owner of Healing Hands Massage, Sissy Landry strives to unite the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of massage therapy for every customer. For over 30 years, Landry has been doing just that for her customers in Texas City.

Landry offers a variety of different therapeutic massages, including deep tissue, which addresses pressure points and is good for treating fibromyalgia and spasms, and Swedish massage, a smooth stroking massage that is very relaxing, as well as reflexology. For tension and relaxation throughout a pregnancy, prenatal massage, which combines table massage and reflexology, also is available.

Landry also offers Thai Reflexology, an ancient form of massage that involves stretching and deep massage.

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands that correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body.

Reflexology, besides being a very accurate health indicator, also is a wonderful relaxation tool.

Benefits of Massage

Whether the stress is real or perceived, our body reacts the same by releasing stress hormones. When these extra chemicals in the bloodstream don’t get used up or the stress situation persists, it makes our body prone to mental and physical illnesses.

Therapeutic massage can be an important part of stress management. An ancient healing art, massage works on the basis that when the body is calmed and relaxed, mental anxiety is lessened.

This holiday season, Landry is offering a special to all new clients! If you purchase five one-hour massages, you will receive a rate of only $55!

On-Site Chair Massage

Healing Hands Massage is proud to offer on-site chair massage for anyone who needs a to relieve some stress. Useful to offices, schools, hospitals, parties or even weddings. On -Site Chair Massage is a simple, cost effective way to relieve stress, improve morale, increase productivity, lower health care cost and more. The on-site massage chair will help you relax in just one massage session, which lasts about 10 to 15 minutes.

Facelift Facial

Landry has been a licensed cosmetologist for 30 years, and believes that massage therapy goes hand-in-hand with cosmetology.

Her traditional facials include a basic cleaning, gentle mask, exfoliating scrub and soothing moisturizer — all designed to rejuvenate the skin.

Her newest service is a face-lift facial. The treatment helps lift skin drooping underneath the chin area, such as a double chin. It also renews the skin by bringing collagen to the top of the skin and reduces light wrinkles for a glowing, healthy look.

Essential Oils

Landry is currently in deeper training with essential oils to offer even more knowledge of their healing properties to her customers. Essential oils are the concentrated defense properties of plants (bark, flowers, leaves and peel) in charge of regenerating, oxygenating, and strengthening the immune system of the organism from which it is derived. Essential oils are not a new development, and their use dates back to biblical times.

The oils, being lipid-soluble, can permeate cell wells and affect each of the body’s cells within 20 minutes.

Essential oils can be utilized in several different ways. Apply the oil directly at the site of irritation, or use in a soothing bath. Rub the oils on the soles of your feet or inhale from the bottle. You can add essential oils to any massage for an additional $5 to $10, and you can purchase them.
