University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) is proud to serve the Galveston County community since 1982 with the mission to provide for the well-being of their members. Note that no references to finance or banking appear in this statement; that is by design. At its core, UFCU serves a broader purpose that emphasizes concern for people.
“You, the member, are at the heart of all we do,” said Jill Kaiser, Regional Manager. “Your well-being, and the well-being of your family, is what drives decision-making and gets us excited about coming to work each day.”
Achieve Your Goals With UFCU
“We understand that smart decisions are the foundation for a solid financial future,” Kaiser said. UFCU is staffed with friendly professionals who will guide you through life events such as purchasing a vehicle, buying your first home, retirement and meeting all of your financial needs.
“Our dedication to serving our members with integrity as their lifelong financial partner is what makes the UFCU difference,” Kaiser said.
Meet UFCU’s Newest Leaders
“Visit the Galveston Financial Center located at 428 Postoffice Street and meet our financial center’s newest leaders,” Kaiser said. “I am excited to announce the promotion of two of our seasoned employees.”
Freda Davis was recently named Galveston Financial Center Manager. Under the leadership of Kaiser, Davis will be responsible for helping employees develop professionally, establishing and deepening member and business relationships and ensuring the delivery of exceptional member service.
Davis has over 16 years in the financial services industry with the last eight serving in a leadership capacity as Assistant Financial Center Manager at UFCU’s Galveston location. Davis proudly serves on the Galveston Chamber Young Professional Committee and the Galveston College Continuing Ed Advisory Committee. She holds an associate’s degree in business management from College of the Mainland and is a TDI Certified/Licensed Life and Annuity Agent.
In addition, Amelia Serrano was recently named Galveston Financial Center Assistant Manager. Serrano, who will be responsible for the daily operations and management of the financial center, began her career at UFCU in 2002 while completing her Bachelor of Science in Sociology from University of Houston Clear Lake. As a leader at the Galveston location for many years, she has participated in strategic projects focused on improving the member experience and facilitated staff training.
“We wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2014 and hope that you choose to make UFCU your financial partner for life,” said Kaiser.
